The California Department of Education (CDE) released test score results from the 2019 Smarter Balanced assessments of math and English language arts on Oct. 9 for tests taken by students in the spring of 2019. This was the fifth year of testing based on the Common Core State Standards. The tests form part of the state's California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, or CAASPP. Student scores are categorized in four achievement levels that indicate whether a student has exceeded, met, nearly met, or did not meet the standards, in grades 3-8 and 11.

Click on the name of the school, district or county office of education to get its detailed test results, including charts showing change over the past five years and achievement gaps among racial and ethnic student groups. Note: charter schools are listed individually. Aggregate scores for Charter Management Organizations are not available.

Click on each column header to sort test results (from lowest to highest or highest to lowest). Asterisks are shown if there were no aggregate scores reported by the CDE because 10 or fewer students took the test. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us at edsource@edsource.org.
